Community contributions

Our commitment to healthy living extends beyond the products we make.  We know that healthy living is about experiencing happiness, being supported and acknowledged by others, and being a part of making a difference in the lives of those around us. With these goals at heart, Stremicks Heritage Foods regularly and actively supports the efforts of many community organizations, large and small.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Light the Night for Leukemia and Lymphoma research: For three consecutive years our Stremicks Heritage Foods team has joined up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money for blood cancer research. So far Stremicks Heritage Foods has raised $15,000.00 for this cause and we vow to continue our efforts for years to come. Beyond the fundraising we also set up a booth at the annual "Light the Night" walk at Angel Stadium to hand out free samples and information and to show our support and help bring awareness about the nutritional benefits of our products.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: Every year we run the Orange County Marathon in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.cff.org), a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

Olive Crest

Olive Crest: Last season, in honor of the Angels 50th anniversary, for every Angel run, Stremicks Heritage Organic Milk donated $50 to support kids at Olive Crest. $22,050 was raised to support children who have suffered from abuse, abandonment, and neglect.

This winning team has partnered again for the 2012 season! Starting April 6, when the Angels safely cross home plate, it is does so much more than win ball games. Each run scored helps gives victims of abuse what all children deserve: A safe, loving home.

Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks: Over the last couple of years we have supported Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org) by donation and sampling at their Walk Now For Autism events in Los Angeles and Orange County. The Autism Speaks mission is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.  They are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder.

Orangewood Children's Foundation

Orangewood Children's Foundation: 8th Continent supports Orangewood Children's Foundation through donation every year to support their programs to eliminate child abuse and neglect in Orange County, CA.

Child Share

Child S.H.A.R.E: (www.childshare.org) exists to offer hope and wholeness and to work toward healing, empowerment and justice for foster children by equipping families, individuals, volunteers and faith communities to provide and support foster and adoptive homes. In support for Child S.H.A.R.E. we walked the LA Marathon while raising funds for their program.
