Why choose Heritage Foods Organic Milk?
O.R.G.A.N.I.C:
Our farmers: Many of the organic dairy practices that we use today were first learned many years ago and have been passed down from generation to generation. "Now that's what we call preserving your Heritage". We would like to thank our farmers for their commitment and dedication in their farming practices in order to bring us the freshest organic milk out there.

Running of the Cows!: Well maybe the cows aren't exactly running but if they wanted to they sure do have enough room. The heifers (young cows in the first two years) are raised on 10,000 acres of native pasture located in the foothills of Central California. When the heifers are old enough to become milking cows, they are moved to another organic dairy located in Central California. These happy cows have 2,000 acres of permanent pasture for feeding and exercising. This maximizes "cow comfort" and, in return, these cows produce excellent quality organic milk. One of our top priorities is the respectful treatment of our cows, making sure they have access to clean water, fresh air, organic pasture and exercise.

Gaining respect: The organic food industry has been around since the beginning of farming and before the invention and practice of widely used pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, hormones and antibiotics. The very first farmers didn't have the knowledge of advanced technology but they did have the knowledge of what was best for their crops, their land, and their cattle. Now with more awareness of the important benefits of organic farming consumers are beginning to show a little more respect for those of us who do it right. The call for natural, healthy products has been heard and we, at Stremicks Heritage Foods™, are answering back with our healthy, all natural, Organic milk. We have gone back to "our" roots to create milk that is naturally the best in both taste and nutrition.

Assuring quality: At Stremicks Heritage Foods™, we use a process called Ultra-Pasteurization which refers to pasteurization at very high temperatures of 280°F or above for 2 seconds or longer. Our ultra-pasteurized products are packaged under strict environmental controls to prevent post-processing microbial contamination. Ultra-pasteurization utilizes highly advanced modern equipment for processing and filling operations that provides a much higher degree of food safety compared to the conventional pasteurization operation. The microbial quality of the finished products is verified before the products are released for sale.

Not to be underestimated: We believe that organic agricultural practices should not be overlooked or underestimated by those who feel uninformed concerning the benefits of these practices. Organic agricultural practices are a proven and sustainable method of producing food without environmental pollution and resource degradation.

Important practices: Our farmers follow the strictest standards of organic quality in order to provide you with safe, flavorful, wholesome organic milk that is produced with respect for the environment, animal welfare, food safety and the health and nutritional needs of you and your family. Raised under humane conditions, the cows that supply Stremicks Heritage Foods™ with our organic milk are never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones and are fed only 100% certified organic cotton seed, hay and grain. "It has always been our goal to provide safe, flavorful, wholesome dairy products with respect for the environment and animal welfare", says the farming representative for the Dairy Farmers of America.

Certified with a seal: So there's a seal-- so what? We'll tell you what. That seal is your guarantee that our organic milk is just that- Certified Organic. This means that our organic milk has been inspected by a third-party agency to verify its organic authenticity to you, the consumer. When you see this seal, it means that no harmful chemicals have been applied to the feed and/or crops that our cows graze on, the farmer and processor have annual certification inspections, we keep detailed records of our practices, and we use ecologically-friendly methods and substances to improve the soil and control pests.
